Community Emergency Response Classes
The Personal and Community Emergency & Safety Course follows the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) curriculum, as outlined by the National Emergency Management Institute and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Through local responders and experts in the field, participants learn basic skills that will help them take care of themselves, family, neighbors and collegues in the event of an emergency - big or small. The eight week course focuses on nine topics:

Disaster Preparedness
Fire Safety
Command Systems
First Aid
CPR
Light Search & Rescue
Disaster Psychology
Safety Strategies associated with Terror Attacks

Courses are offered during the fall and spring semester at Laconia High School, through the Adult Education Program. We also offer the course to businesses, spiritual communities, neighborhood associations, schools and more! Please fill our a registration form or contact us for more information.
